Sesame Girl is an experimental video project that began around the conception of my medical transition. When I started medically transitioning, I found out I was going to have to inject a homogenous mixture of estrogen and sesame oil. This inspired an abstract video work where I took a 10-gallon fish tank, filled it with raw sesame oil, and filmed mundane objects integral to affirming my femininity prior to my medical transition floating in the oil. Sesame Girl, in turn, represents my individual experience with womanhood, both before and after my medical transition.
